As a communist this article is really making the case for Ann Arbor Michigan, I should probably check it out someday. Are there any similar places by the water on the upper peninsula? Northern Michigan looks BEAUTIFUL
It is so beautiful! I love Ann Arbor, even though it's def been tech-bro-ified it definitely still has a hippie/commie soul for sure. I miss the People's Food Co-Op! I remember getting similar vibes from Marquette, Michigan because it's also a college town, def had a food co-op there. I think it's kind of a dot of blue in a sea of red politically speaking, moreso than Ann Arbor, but it's right on Lake Superior and full of nature and beautiful houses! Definitely by lots of farms and stuff too!
